Nahla became part of the Local partnership for the activation and integration of unemployed persons into the labor market
In March 2022, CER Nahla became part of a selected partner network that will develop local employment initiatives and implement training for at least 1,600 unemployed people. The partnership network was formed by the International Labor Organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the project “Supporting European Local Partnerships for Employment – Phase II” (LEP II) funded by the European Union.
Nahla, as a member of the partnership in the period from April 2022 to November 2023, implements IT education programs for unemployed women from the Sarajevo Canton and education programs for seamstresses and tailors, along with career counseling and help with employment.
This partnership has enabled us to exchange information and act more purposefully in the field of education and integration of unemployed people into the labor market. In addition to the educational programs a special benefit is the exchange of information of all stakeholders on a monthly basis and the creation of an activity plan that aims to activate unemployed people in the form of openness to improvement and training, and an additional plus are the educational elements of improving life within the community, such as is the creation of a study that aims to show how the trainings implemented within this project can be adapted to people with disabilities.
The project’s target group is unemployed people from the Sarajevo Canton with a focus on two more difficult employable categories: unemployed women and people with disabilities. Out of a total of 120 unemployed end-users, there will be at least 60 women and 10 people with disabilities. Activities that strengthen the capacity of LPZ Novi Grad Sarajevo will be implemented according to the ILO program, a gender-sensitive action plan for employment and support for entrepreneurship will be developed, 4 new certified professional development programs will be developed and implemented (training in the field of robotics, physiotherapist-cosmetologist, barista and seamstress) and 2 existing certified professional training programs (UI/UX designer and CNC operator/programmer), the programs will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and entrepreneurial support programs will be implemented according to the ILO (SIYB) model.
Besides CER Nahla, the partnership includes: The Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, the Employment Service of the Canton of Sarajevo, Dizart d.o.o. – Center for adult education, TMP company for employment of blind and partially visually impaired persons d.o.o. Sarajevo, Association of CEFE Trainers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Herbal Spa d.o.o. Sarajevo.
