Skills4Digital – new employment opportunities in the IT sector!

Sehija Dedovic, president of CEI Nahla, signed a Cooperation Agreement on the implementation of the project Skills4Digital with the Swiss Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC).

Through the project Skills4Digital over a period of 18 months, we will improve the digital skills of 90 unemployed women from Tuzla, Bihać and Sarajevo through education and open more employment opportunities for them, and then they will improve business operations of 15 small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina by improving their branding and online sales using their new knowledge and skills.

The project is focused on supporting women in the IT sector, which is Nahla's long-standing commitment, and this project represent a continuation of our efforst. Support for women in this field is very important because of competitiveness in the labor market, faster employability, as shown by recent evaluations of participants in our trainings that was conducted on a sample of 100 women, increasing representation of women in the IT sector and significant increase in demand for these occupations caused by the pandemic, which is the reason why we want to encourage women to take advantage of this type of opportunities.

We want to see the continuous and balanced development of our country and offer our support to everyone, which we are not always able to do due to our spatial limitations and attachment to the centers, and therefore this cooperation represents one of the ways in which we will manage to cover a wider area and include more beneficiaries from the entire BiH.

Project Skills4Digital is supported by Swiss Government and implemented by CEI Nahla.
