Cooperation with the European Union, the Council of Europe and the City of Sarajevo in the implementation of the project “Clictivism makes a real change”.

The Center for Education and Research “Nahla” and the City Administration of the City of Sarajevo were the beneficiaries of the joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”, which supported the realization of the project of empowering young people to act against hate speech called “Clictivism makes a real change”.

Within this project, CEI Nahla organized the Education for young activists in the field of hate speech and human rights online, whose aim was to introduce them with the framework of human rights at the global and local level, as well as mechanisms of action, institutional framework and tools and methods used to act against discrimination and hate speech online and live, both on a personal level as well as within different civic initiatives. Our wish was to empower young people from the Canton of Sarajevo who study or have graduated from one of the faculties of social sciences and who are motivated to act in the direction of opposing the increasingly widespread phenomenon of hate speech in everyday life, and especially within the frame of media content.
