Baškaluk – a story about the perspicacity of a Bosnian woman
This is a special story about a house, a room, about the soul inside that room, about a Bosnian woman and the opportunities she creates for herself in our society. Opportunities that she creates constantly, persistently, tirelessly, while trying, falling, rising, changing herself and her environment and trying again and again. Now this special story got its arc, its house, in Baščaršija.
This year's first Nahla’s business community meet up gathered 40 female entrepreneurs, and after it, as a product, came Baškaluk – a concept store, shop, house, soul of a Bosnian woman, which gathered 12 female entrepreneurs and their brands.
Nedžada Eljazović-Radončić registered Baškaluk as a concept store, with the hope that its existence will be:
- Affirmation to all women to register after drafting a successful business plan;ž
- A chance for achieving self-sustainability through payment of all contributions and net earnings;
- Support and opportunity for every woman to have Baškaluk as a place to exhibit her products.
Their success is a call to all of us to work on ourselves, learn, continuously improve and create.
